There are obviously many factors to consider when looking for a dog that is right for you and your family. Size, temperament and energy level are a few of these factors. TFTs are small dogs ranging from 3-1/2 to 7 pounds and/or 8.5 – 11.5 inches tall. Although small in size they are strong and rugged. They can adapt well to apartment or farm living. Some say that TFTs are not good with small children. I believe that if a pup is raised with small children and if the children are supervised with the pup, there will not be a problem. If you put an anxious young child with an older more “set in its ways” TFT, you may have problems. The temperament in general is frisky, energetic and playful. These dogs are very loyal to their owners. They need to have exercise to burn off their energy but do not need to “run all day long” to be healthy and happy. These dogs can live to be fifteen years old or older so it is quite a commitment.
Many people ask about training. This is best done with repetition and positive reinforcement. These dogs love to please their owners and if they see that they have made you happy, they will try to do the same thing again. Lots of our pups have been litter box trained in their new homes and a few have been trained to ring a bell when they need to go outside.

I have included pictures of previous litters of puppies on this portion of the site. I will also have a posting if a litter is due or if there are pups available. If you are interested in a puppy, please contact me. Please send me information as to why you feel the breed would be a good fit for you, if you plan to breed or show the dog, your family and living situation and other pets in the household. I am selective in placing the puppies because they are like children to me and I want to see them have a happy life.

On the other hand, please feel free to ask me any questions you may have about me and the dogs. We want you to know that you are purchasing a dog from a reputable breeder who is breeding quality dogs and really cares.
